Paris (CNN)Fred Dewilde spends his days drawing body parts, sketching internal organs in pen and ink for medical trainees and science laboratories.

Fred Dewilde had gone to the Bataclan with friends; they drank together and watched the support act.He recalls Eagles of Death Metal frontman Jesse getting the crowd warmed up, laughing and joking.

Dewilde writes of lying on the floor, listening as his mobile phone rang, and expecting the noise to be followed by a gunshot.Dewilde says he and Elisa lay still, to avoid attracting attention, even when the suicide bomber detonated.

Dewilde is a graphic designer and artist who draws medical illustrations for a living.

Dewilde portrayed the terrorists who carried out the attack as skeletons, explaining they were quot;dead inside.quot;Dewildes book quot;My Bataclanquot; tells the story of what happened to him in a graphic novel format.Dewilde says talking about their shared ordeal with other survivors, like Elisa, has helped him make sense of it.
