Boris Johnson’s passionate Brexit speech sparks eruption of applause from BBC QT audience

“We had a deal and it’s a great deal.

“It’s there, it’s ready to go, as I never tire of saying, oven-ready.

“It will enable us to have 2020 as a year of prosperity and growth. That’s what I want to see.”

In the show, the Prime Minister defended his decision to call a general election on December 12 and insisted he “had to do it” because “Parliament is blocking Brexit”.
