“I think it would be, without doubt, people would be so angry, if they feel they have been let down, if they have been sold down the river by all the political parties, then a new party for that specific election would do extremely well.”
The Brexit Party was officially recognised by the Electoral Commission on Friday, allowing it to field candidates at elections.
Former Ukip leader Nigel Farage has backed the party vowing to stand in the European Parliament elections in May if the UK has not left the EU by then.
He said: “If the need comes for the Brexit Party to be mobilised, I think it will draw support from across the entire spectrum.
“I genuinely believe people would be very surprised at the support it would attract. There is a live vehicle therefrom which to fight back.
