Coronavirus latest: Mortuary built by East London school as death toll soars

It spreads across nearly 10 acres of land, and used to house rubbish trucks.

The site is being prepared at Low Hall Depot in Leyton.

The UK is bracing for the pandemic to escalate, with a projected death toll of up to 20,000.

The site is expected to up and running by Sunday at the earliest.

Neighbouring the makeshift mortuary are houses, a primary school and a sports ground.

The reveal of the second site comes after the Mail Online reported Manor Park was housing a morgue the size of two football fields.
