“What people have to remember is one important thing, 95 percent of businesses do not trade with the EU.
“That’s your dog-groom, your hairdresser, car mechanic, fishmonger, people are forgetting that important thing. The majority of people do not trade with the EU.
“A deal would be good but Mr Cameron asked for that deal in 2016 and they shut the door on him.
“So I think the Remain politicians and different forces out there have made Brexit a very negative thing when in fact Brexit is an extremely positive thing.
“But there you are, we have to move forwards with things.”
Many British fishermen pushed for Britain to leave the EU, with fishermen reporting how, as an EU member, UK waters are overfished by other EU countries and the means they are also restricted as to how much they can fish.
The EU’s Common Fisheries Policy (CFP) means some British fishermen are also restricted as to how much they can fish and are sometimes forced to throw fish back into the sea.
