And BBC Europe Editor Katya Adler claimed the Commission chief sent a letter to European Council President Donald Tusk signalling his return to the Brexit scene.
She said: “What’s happened now is that Jean-Claude Juncker has become a lot more active in this process and he has been for a long time.
“We saw him there right at the beginning of the negotiations process, obviously with the launch of Article 50.
