A pup in England has gained a massive social media following because of his unusual hairstyle.
He’s no “Black Dog,” but his long, shaggy ‘do resembles Led Zeppelin-leading man Robert Plant’s.
According to Rebecca Munday, 21, she and her dog Finley attract a lot of attention where they live, in the city of Gloucester in the southwest of England — thanks to her 3-year-old springer spaniel’s enviable locks.
“People always compliment his hair and say he looks like a rock star. Finley loves the attention and additional fuss from people,” Munday, a professional dog caretaker, told Caters News.
His head-turning hairstyle began as a punk-rock mohawk, when the pup was just 6 months old. Before long, his model moptop grew in, which garnered Finley comparisons to rock legends John Lennon and Queen’s Brian May, according to Munday.
“I used to trim it when he was younger, but then I realized his hair makes him so unique and [he] stands out from the other springers,” she said.
Now, the dog with the hippest hair is a source of joy — and pet-store coupon codes — to his more than 12,000 followers on Instagram. Meanwhile, the top dog is earning sponsorships with pet brands by promoting toys, collars, dog beds and other products. Munday, who works at an animal shelter, then donates the goods to dogs in need.
She also revealed how she gets the energetic canine to pose so obediently for the camera.
“He is so well-behaved and very much toy- and treat-motivated, which is how I manage to get him to pose for the camera,” said Munday.
She added, “Finley is super chilled but a typical mad spaniel when he is near water or mud — he will always come home filthy.”
Through her pretty pooch’s Instagram success, the doting dog owner even met her fiancé, 22-year-old Ollie Bracey.
“I have a lot to thank Finley for,” she said. “He is the most loving dog I could ever wish for, and I am very lucky to have him.”
