Arsenal have made seven players available for transfer in order to raise funds for new signings, according to reports.
After narrowly missing out on a return to Champions League football last season, the Gunners are once again rebuilding their squad.
The new-look team got them close to finishing in the top four, but they narrowly lost out to their north London rivals Tottenham.
This summer, they have already spent £83m on bringing in Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City, Fabio Vieira from Porto, Brazilian winger Marquinhos and goalkeeper Matt Turner.
Reports have claimed the Gunners are also confident of signing Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans for £30m, while Ajax’s Lisandro Martinez remains a priority target despite strong competition from Manchester United.
But according to The Sun, in order to fund more signings, the club are aiming to offload as many as seven players, including club-record signing Nicolas Pepe.
The winger has failed to live up to expectations following his £72m move from Lille in 2019 and could be one of the players let go.
Also up for sale are Bernd Leno, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Hector Bellerin, Lucas Torreira, Pablo Mari and Reiss Nelson.
All of those aforementioned players, bar Leno, were on loan spells last season and the club have now placed them on the transfer list.
However, the report states that the club are yet to receive any serious offers for the transfer-listed players.
Goalkeeper Leno has been the subject of interest from Fulham, while Bellerin was hoping his loan move to Real Betis would’ve been made permanent.
Torreira, meanwhile, wanted to stay at Fiorentina, but the Italian club didn’t match the fee included in the option to buy clause included as part of his loan transfer.
