Liverpool told Rhian Brewster’s suitors the forward is for sale but only if a buy-back clause is inserted into the deal, according to reports.

Brewster impressed on loan at Swansea City last season, scoring eleven times in just 22 appearances for the Championship side.

Jurgen Klopp is a massive fan of 20-year-old, but is keen for Brewster to benefit more from regular football.

Clubs appear to be lining up to take Brewster on loan and Sky Sports claim Liverpool have opened talks with Premier League clubs Crystal Palace and Sheffield United over a move.

Liverpool are prepared to sell Brewster considering the interest in him, but will insist on a buy-back clause for the goalscorer.

Brewster himself is open to a move away from Anfield as he doesn’t want to spend a season being used sporadically by Klopp.

Liverpool are yet to make a final decision on the future of Brewster and the transfer window does not shut until 5 October.

A domestic-only window for deals between the Premier League and EFL clubs then runs from until 16 October.

Klopp is eager to add to his attacking options but the Reds have been hampered by a lack of funds, and missed out on Timo Werner to Chelsea earlier in the summer.

However, Liverpool are not expected to lose any of their big stars after Georginio Wijnaldum decided against pushing for a move to Barcelona.

Wijnaldum, who has less than a year left on his deal, has been swayed by talks he held with Klopp and is now waiting for the club to offer him a contract extension.
