Love Island’s Danny Williams Contacts Police Over Racist Death Threats

“I’ve had it all. And it’s still happening today. Daily,” he explained. “When it’s racist and it’s threats and you have to get the police involved that’s next level. And it got to that extent.

“I’m going to bed at night, I go on my phone like everybody else does, and you see some of the people saying they’re going to come and kill me or, ‘You’re a horrible sick f’ and whatever.”

He added: “Everyone’s entitled to their opinions, but there’s never an excuse for that kind of stuff. It’s horrible.”

Amy Hart has also spoken about the online abuse she’s received since choosing to leave the villa, admitting she’s had to mute harmful words on social media to avoid seeing them on her timeline.

Following the suicides of former contestants Sophie Gradon and Mike Thalassitis within the space of a year, Love Island producers made changes to this year’s aftercare process, including more therapy sessions after Islanders leave the villa and more preparation for what they should expect once their time on the show is over.
