Musk then explained how he believes Mars will become habitable in the near future.
He continued: “In the beginning, people would live in glass domes, but over time we would terraform Mars and make it like Earth.
“I think there will be a lot of super-exciting things that are hard to predict, just like when they were building the Pacific.
“So for SpaceX, our job is to figure out how to get there, otherwise nothing else matters.
“Once you get there, we have a lot that can be done.”
