Dec 9 (Reuters) – Finland’s Centre Carty said on Monday its leader Katri Kulmuni would be named finance minister in a new coalition cabinet due to be appointed this week.
The government resigned last week after the Centre Party said it had lost confidence in Social Democrat Prime Minister Antti Rinne over his handling of a postal strike.
The five parties in power decided to stay in coalition and continue with the same programmes but said they would change some ministers. Under the terms of the coalition, the Centre Party names the finance minister. (Reporting by Tarmo Virki; Editing by Andrew Heavens)
