The one-day international (ODI) series between the West Indies and England remains level at 1-1 following a wash-out in the third match.

Monday’s third ODI was set to take place at the National Cricket Stadium in Grenada, but the game was abandoned without a ball being bowled because of rain.

The two teams will stay in Grenada for the fourth ODI which takes place on Wednesday 27 February (1.30pm GMT start).

Vaughan: stop the moments of madness

Former England captain Michael Vaughan says if the team wants to win this year’s Cricket World Cup then they must cut out the “moments of madness”.

England lost their final six wickets of the second ODI against the West Indies for just 35 runs and Vaughan feels that they must improve to stand a chance of winning the World Cup on home soil.

He told the BBC: “England have got everything required to win the World Cup except for these moments of madness. It happens every four or five games and if it happens in the semi-final then they are out.

“This England team has been great. They have trained the brain get 330. It has been lovely to watch. But it may be that they get to a semi-final and 270 would be enough and if you go for 330 to 350 then you might only get 210.

“You don’t win a World Cup by just whacking it. You have to play smart cricket.”
