FarFarOut: Astronomers looking for PLANET X find solar system’s MOST DISTANT object
FarOut is a dwarf planet 120 times the Earth-Sun distance spotted by the same team.
Dr Scott Sheppard, of the Carnegie Institution for Science was responsible for the latest discovery.
The Carnegie Institution for Science team is attempting to track down an elusive body dubbed Planet Nine, believed to boast 10 times the mass of Earth.
The hypothetical Planet Nine, thought to be lurking in the distant Oort cloud, has been suggested as exerting a gravitational pull on objects in the depths of the solar system.
