According to the new paper, the planet is around five billion years old and is bigger and heavier than the sun.
Co-author of the study, Steve Kawaler, a professor of physics and astronomy from Iowa State University, claimed it is only a glimpse of what TESS can do.
He said: “This is the first bucketful of water from the firehose of data we’re getting from TESS.
“The thing that’s exciting is that TESS is the only game in town for a while and the data is so good, we’re planning to try to do science we hadn’t thought about.
