NASA news: Breathtaking NASA pictures show Earth’s natural beauty from space in new book

NASA’s incredible book was co-authored by NASA’s Michael Carlowicz, Kathy Carroll, Lawrence Friedl, Stephen Schaeberle and Kevin Ward.

In the book’s Acknowledgements, the authors wrote: “We owe a debt to our scientific and outreach colleagues, who keep the satellites running, the sensors sensing, and the data and imagery flowing.

“Every one of the images in this book is publicly available through the Internet, truly making science accessible to every citizen.

“The Landsat teams at the U.S. Geological Survey and NASA, the LANCE/EOSDIS MODIS Rapid Response Team, and the NASA Earth Observatory deserve extra gratitude for making our planet visible to the scientist and the layman every day.”
