Backed by £11 million in funding from GSK, the centre will focus on building highly detailed computer models — or “digital twins” — of human organs and diseases. These models will allow scientists to simulate how conditions affecting the lungs, liver, kidneys and cartilage develop, and predict how patients might respond to different treatments.
